Originally from New Zealand, Lara Goulding began her musical journey at age 4 through the Suzuki method, an immersive and holistic approach to musical learning. She gained her qualification in Piano Performance and Theory from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and has travelled extensively since then.
Lara won the Sheila Wynn Shakespeare Festival Composition Prize in 2002 in Christchurch, New Zealand for her violin and piano trio. Specializing in composition and theory, she has been involved in choir, theatre and band projects in Vancouver and Kansas City, as well as writing music for film. She is currently recording and performing with new Toronto band The Cassidies.
Lara loves to share her knowledge and coach people of all ages to discover the joy of playing piano, ukulele and guitar.
